In steep and lush natural amphitheatre, among olive trees and pine trees on the shore of the Golfo Paradiso you will find Camogli.

The small port with its colorful boats, the Stockade colorful houses climb, a tradition that is still alive, the joy of fish Festival: so you remember the "city of a thousand white sailing ships" and you feel nostalgia when you are away.

The old town develops around the Harbour, with the parish church, the castle of the Dragon on the ancient "island" (or "Giorgio" as it is affectionately known), and the beautiful decorated houses. The castle terrace offers stunning views of the Harbour and the narrow streets of old Camogli.

And it's in the "carruggi" near the harbour that is often encountered the image of the Virgin, to whom the camogliesi over the centuries have always targeted security for their loved ones far away working on the sea.

From the harbour, crowded by boats of fishermen and tourist boats that cut trough the waters of s. Fruttuoso, begins the promenade. It is via Garibaldi, with its many bars and restaurants where to sip a coffee or taste the Ligurian cuisine while contemplating the sparkle of the sea.

Those who love life in contact with nature can walk on the promontory of Portofino, which offers an exceptional collection of vegetation.

"Walk of peace" is the one from Ruta to S.Rocco. Who doesn't feel like getting to Ruta walk, can take it from there, and going down the street, get to San Rocco at his Church and a splendid view.
A focaccia and then, if you are strong, you can walk to one of the paths that lead to Portofino Vetta or Punta Chiappa and S.Fruttuoso.

Most popular events are also held in the spring, as the bonfires of San Fortunato and the Fish Festival.

In summer the ample beach of Camogli is irresistible. For those who don't want to spend all day lying on the sand, inevitable is a boat ride to San Fruttuoso, or a tour of the Gulf Paradise (on saturdays in summer the night journey for Genoa is really romantic)

In July we celebrate the feast of Christ of the Abyss in San Fruttuoso, while in August the sea covers itself with floating candles for the homage to Stella Maris. And animal lovers don't lose the Loyalty of the dog Price in the charming town of Saint Rocco.
